Time to breathe – How to create a Spa experience at home

It is natural to be feeling stressed and anxious in these unprecedented times. No matter what your ‘at-home’ schedule may be, it is good to make time in the week for your wellness. This will hopefully help to relieve some stress, refreshing your mind, and giving you a little boost for the week ahead.

Here are some ways you can create a spa experience in the comfort of your own home.

SETTING THE MOOD

One of the elements which most attract us to a spa is the atmosphere and ambience. Take some time and make sure your bedroom and bathroom are clean and tidy. Light some candles, dim the lights and make sure to have a playlist ready to set the mood. Prepare a herbal tea, put on some comfortable clothes and you are ready to begin.

PAMPER YOURSELF WITH SOME TREATMENTS

Whilst at the spa you are likely to get a massage, body scrub or a facial. Try putting some essential oils in your bath to create a calming atmosphere and de-stress. You can make body scrubs from natural ingredients like coconut oil, honey, green tea and many others. Lastly put on a good face mask to cleanse your skin.

DO NOT FORGET ABOUT NORMAL 'MAINTENANCE'

For the moment, hairdressers and nail salons remain closed. Many of us are missing our hair, nails, eyebrows and toe treatments. If you have a bit of time on your hands, try doing some maintenance work to keep yourself feeling good. Try painting your nails, giving your hair a great conditioning treatment or any other of your typical beauty treatments. Try to have fun with it, make sure to keep your playlist on in the background to keep you relaxed.
